AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Lane Barrow specializes in business writing and managerial
communications. His focus is on applied principles of
effective writing, on business presentation skills
incorporating both group and one-on-one dynamics, and on
techniques of critical and creative thinking. His interests
also focus on 19th century models of utopian
socialism and political economy. He teaches undergraduate
and graduate courses in the Management Department.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Lane is a member of the Association of Business Communicators,
and the American Society for Training and Development.
He has been a writing and editorial consultant at 3M Health
Information Systems, The Travelers, the U.S. Marshal's
Service, Connecticut Radio Network, Advest, Inc., and several
Connecticut accounting firms, including John H. Venman & Co.,
and Haggett, Longobardi & Co.
