The Production Control and Scheduling Area is responsible for the successful and timely processing of production schedules for the Administrative Users. |
Production schedules are made up of jobs that contain raw data which are processed by computer programs on the Mainframe Computer and/or PC Networks. The input for these jobs are created daily from updates and transactions occurring in specific CICS regions by the Administration Departments and Data Entry.
When production schedules are completed, they produce information in various forms, such as:
The departments which we provide services for are as follows: Accounting, Payroll, Bursars, Budget, Grants and Contracts, Accounts Payable, Admissions, Warehouse, Purchasing, Student Health Services, Personnel, Alumni House, Development & Foundations, Registrar & Scheduling, Residential Life, Financial Aid, Student Affairs, Student Employment, Athletics, Library, Graduate School, Law School, Student ID System, Office of Institutional Research, Placement & Testing Counseling Services, Counseling Program for Intercollegiate Athletes, Center for Academic Programs, and Telecommunications.

Production Control and Scheduling is also responsible for the delivery of the production schedules' output and the operation of the NCS scanner (Optical Mark Reader) for Professor Test Scoring, Surveys and other administrative applications.
